Old Highway 94

3 05 2008

Just to the side of an old spur off the 94, south of Dulzura. You can really see how nature reclaims what we neglect.

As I was signing the log, I saw someone approaching out of the corner of my eye. I looked up to see our friendly neighborhood Immigration and Customs Enforcement Agent.

After I explained what I was doing, he said they were watching the area, as they had gotten a report that a group of illegals was going to be coming up that canyon. Apparently, it’s a pretty popular route. I pointed out that there wasn’t a lot of ‘cargo’ room in the QDmobile. He laughed and said, “Yeah, but they told me to come check it out.”

So now the muggles have high-powered surveillance equipment! Who knew?

That’s really cool to see those weeds coming out of the asphalt. It’s amazing how strong those plants are. So if you pick up an immigrant, do you have to leave something???
